You Don't Need a Book to tell a Story!

Before books were invented, people used to tell stories just using their voices sitting around a fire. Sometimes they would draw pictures on the ground with a stick or on the walls of a cave with a rock to tell a story. Sometimes they would sing or dance to tell a story.

There are many different ways to tell a story.

Here are some of them:

act out a play or a musical (like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Six)
make a TV show or movie (like Two and Half Men or AMAR)
tell the story using puppets (like Goldilocks and the Three Bears)
songs through the words/lyrics (like A Million Dreams or Eternal Flame)
dance
through conversation
poems
paintings or drawings
photographs
music videos
writing a blog

Task: Kate - have a look at this photo. What do you see? What do you think? What do you wonder? How is this person telling a story? What do you think the story is about? Write down your answers in your note book then show the photo to your mum or your coach and ask them what they see, think or wonder?
