Writing
Kate's writing and ability to get her thoughts down on paper will be helped a lot as her spelling and understanding of concepts improves. Please refer to Speech page for suggestions for helping Kate with spelling.

The other things that will help is working to build Kate's fine motor skills, crossing the midline skills and muscle strength especially in the core, arms and hands. This can be done by doing lots of sensory activities as well as every day activities like opening jars, chopping food, carrying things and doing gym exercises.

In relation to thinking and the ability to get those thoughts down on a page here are some tips for what has worked for Kate before.
Tips for Getting Kate Writing

Do a sensory activity first like painting or clay to get the fine motor skills moving
