The Feelings Books

Kate loves reading The Feelings Series by Trace Moroney. Her favourite ones are "Love" and "Lonely".



The Feelings Series was written to help children better understand their feelings and how to identify, manage and express those feelings in an appropriate and acceptable way - both to themselves and to others. These books help build confidence, self-esteem and contribute to a healthy emotional foundation on which children can thrive. When reading these stories to the children Kate should interact with the children and ask them questions using the storytelling techniques she has learnt and which are contained in other Blogs under Communication Development.


These books are also great as they contain questions at the back of the book that Kate can answer herself to improve her own self-awareness and emotional foundation and also ask the children to provoke discussions.


TASK: Pick a Feelings Book that is not your favourite or that you haven't had much before and practice reading it with your coach. Go through the questions in the back and talk about your answers with your coach.
