Connection is another word for "link".
Kate loves to play this game where her coach says a word and then Kate thinks of another word that is related to it. This game sprung from our singing of Rainbow Connection with the children at HEY.
For example:
Coach says "Night" and Kate says "Light - because at night you turn on a light"
Coach says "Earth" and Kate says "plants"
This is a wonderful game to assess children's language development and also to promote their understanding of the world around them. Kate could play this game with the children at HEY either as an intentional teaching lesson or just spontaneously while engaged in other play with the children like at the play doh table.
