Integrated learning experiences are the best way for young children to learn.
Integrated means that the experience is teaching the children a few different things at once and helping them with more than one area of their development. You might mix up a language learning experience with drawing and with music.
The brain loves when ideas are intertwined or mixed up together because then more of the brain lights up. This makes it easier to remember new things.
Integrated learning experiences are also more challenging for the children as they have more to explore.
Two of the best integrated learning experiences Kate has experienced were:
The Outdoor Scavenger Hunt at the Rocket Park; and
The Observational Drawing experience at HEY when Kate drew a turtle.
