Kate's Acting

Kate loves acting and really discovered she had a gift when filming the short film AMAR in which she payed the lead title character. Kate will film a feature film called The Waiting Room post Covid-19 restrictions. 

 

It has been very useful when teaching Kate, to use acting related approaches such as creating "scripts" for conversations and stories, drawing storyboards for movies and stories and making references to acting tools such as voice projection, using emotion and calling the camera "Michali" to help boost Kate's confidence and engagement with her study. Future literacy projects around acting could include:

• Writing a BIO

• Writing a movie script or script for an episode of Home and Away

• Making a documentary about Kate's family or something she likes to do where Kate interviews people.

Hopefully Kate will have many more acting experiences in her life. Kate is an absolute natural in front of a camera.
